Things to do in Maui, Hawai'i
Rewards await when traveling the four-hour drive to Hana.
Sunrise at Haleakalā: Witness a sunrise above the clouds from Maui’s dormant volcano. Magical for early risers and couples, especially with a guided tour or breakfast at the summit.
Road to Hana: One of Maui’s most famous scenic drives. Explore waterfalls, bamboo forests, and secluded beaches. Stop at Wai’anapanapa State Park for black sand beaches and consider booking a private tour to make it stress-free.
Wailea Beach Path: A leisurely walk linking Wailea’s beaches and resorts. Perfect for sunrise or sunset strolls, casual beach hopping, or spotting sea turtles along the way. Accessible from hotels, a daily ritual.
Snorkeling at Ulua and Mokapu Beaches: Calm, clear waters and vibrant marine life make these beaches ideal for snorkeling. Gear can be rented nearby, or book a guided tour for the best spots.

Golf at Wailea Golf Club: Three world-class courses set against ocean vistas. Meticulously maintained, even if you don’t play, the landscapes are worth a scenic drive or photo stop. Great restaurant with Happy Hour as well.
Paddleboarding and kayaking along the Wailea coastline: Glide over calm, turquoise waters while enjoying views of the beaches and ocean life. Great for couples seeking adventure without leaving Wailea, with rental options or guided tours available at most hotels.
Makena Beach and Big Beach: Dramatic cliffs and golden sands; Big Beach is perfect for sunbathing, Little Beach for sunset drum circles and laid-back vibes.
Helicopter tour of Maui: See waterfalls, valleys, and lava flows that are otherwise inaccessible. A helicopter tour gives a completely new perspective on Maui’s lush landscapes and is a memorable splurge for honeymooners.
Whale watching (December–March): During peak whale season, humpback whales migrate to Maui’s warm waters. Book a private or small-group tour for an unforgettable experience—especially magical from a luxury catamaran or oceanfront vantage point. Great viewpoint from the terrace beach area at the Four Seasons—bring your binoculars.

Gather on Maui: Farm-to-table comfort food with a neighborhood feel. Happy Hour for post-golf outing.

Getting there:
Fly into Kahului (OGG). Wailea is ~25 minutes from the airport
Rental car recommended but not needed unless major excursions like Hana or volcano. Wailea itself is very walkable.
