Day 1: Arrival & beach relaxation

  • Arrive at Queen Beatrix International Airport

  • Check in to your accommodation

  • Explore your resort to get the lay of the land

Afternoon

  • Enjoy lunch at Fisherman's Hut near the hotel area

  • Beach time with an inflatable float (don't forget those towel clips for the wind!)

  • Take a leisurely swim in the calm, crystal-clear waters

Evening

  • Sunset cocktails at your resort

  • Dinner at Papiamento for an authentic local experience with both tourists and locals

  • Early night to recover from travel and prepare for adventures ahead

Day 2: Underwater exploration

  • Half-day guided snorkeling tour (book in advance):

    • Explore the shipwreck site

    • Swim with sea turtles

    • Marvel at colorful fish and coral formations

Afternoon

Evening

  • Dinner at your resort or venture to a recommended restaurant in the Palm Beach area

Day 3: Island tour day

  • Early breakfast

  • Full-day island tour with a local guide who can show you:

    • The lighthouse at the northern tip

    • Dramatic north coast with rugged cliffs

    • Desert interior with impressive cacti

    • Historical ruins from previous colonizers

    • Indigenous heritage sites

Lunch

  • Stop at a local spot recommended by your guide during the tour

Afternoon

  • Continue the island tour:

    • Southern end of the island including Baby Beach

    • Calm, turquoise waters of the south coast

    • Additional historical and cultural sites—recommend driving or walking through San Nicolas downtown

Evening

  • Dinner at Old Kunuku House for a charming, authentic dining experience

  • Return to your hotel for a relaxing poolside evening

Day 4: Adventure & farewell

Seroe Colorado Natural Bridge near the southern point of the island

Morning

  • Early breakfast

  • Choose one adventure activity:

    • ATV tour through the desert landscape

    • Kayaking along the coast

    • Hiking in Arikok National Park

    • Additional snorkeling at a different location

Afternoon

  • Final beach time

  • Late lunch at a beachfront restaurant like MooMba Beach

Evening

  • Pack for departure

  • Farewell dinner at a sunset spot with ocean views such as the Kokoa Restaurant & Bar

  • Reflect on your Aruba adventures before tomorrow's departure

Need to know

Packing essentials: Mineral sunscreen (reef-safe), towel clips for windy beaches, inflatable float, quick-dry clothing (humidity makes drying difficult)

Transportation: Taxis are readily available, but renting a car gives you more flexibility on this small island. If you rent a car, make sure to learn driving etiquette!

Language: English is widely spoken, but locals appreciate simple greetings in Papiamento

Weather: Consistently warm with minimal temperature changes; very windy with little rainfall

Currency: While the official currency is the Aruban Florin, US dollars are widely accepted
