Curator’s statement
New York City calls to many for a multitude of reasons. The architecture, check. The arts and culture, check. The diverse neighborhoods, each with their own vibe and energy, check. Restaurants and bars open until morning, check and check. Times Square, the Empire State Building, One World Trade Center, the Statue of Liberty, yes it's got it all. But this is not a guide to those places. This one is more demure. This is the guide for those who've seen their fair share of NYC trips for girls/guys weekends, for work or for family site-seeing trips. And, while all the things I listed are just a few that make NYC the city unlike any other, my way of enjoying NYC is carving out a more relaxed, more lived-in weekend to take in its small indulgences.

Day 1: Arrival and shopping
Arrive in NYC and take an Uber or private transfer to your hotel. Drop your bags and then walk to lunch at Shuka. Browse the great shopping on Greene Street, Prince Street and Bleecker Street. Head back to the hotel for a quick refresh before heading to drinks at Dante West Village (reservation recommended) and dinner at Arthur and Sons.
Day 2: Outdoor sights and museum respite
After breakfast, walk through Washington Square Park. Enter on the University side, so you can walk the full park and exit on Washington Square W. Then, walk a little further up to the High Line. You can stop along the way and check out Chelsea Market before hopping back on and taking the High Line up to Chelsea Pier. Grab lunch at Chelsea Pier or Hudson Yards.
After all of that walking, it's time for a little respite. Duck into some air-conditioned museums or art galleries before getting ready for dinner. Good ones to check out are the Whitney Museum of American Art, David Zwirner Gallery, Hauser & Wirth New York, Gagosian Gallery and Dia Chelsea.
Regardless of how touristy Broadway can be, a show is a must. Have an iconic but intimate dinner at The Lambs Club before your show at the Gershwin Theater. After the show, head back to West Village and pop into Employees Only for a drink (reservation recommended).
Day 3: Catch a Yankees game
Have brunch at Jeffrey’s Grocery or Hancock Street before catching the metro out to Yankees Stadium. Once you arrive, grab a hot dog, a ball cap and your seat to enjoy a hopefully sunny Yankee's game. Head back to your hotel afterwards and refresh yourself before your final night out. I recommend drinks and dinner at Libertine (French) or Sake No Hana (Japanese).
