Day 1: Arrive in Cairo

Touch down in Cairo, where the journey begins with a seamless, stress-free arrival. You’ll be met directly at the aircraft gate for a VIP welcome service that fast-tracks you through visa formalities and customs. A private transfer will whisk you to the Hilton Cairo Grand Nile to settle in and acclimate. This personalized arrival isn’t just a convenience—it’s your first introduction to how we transform a potentially chaotic Egyptian welcome into a moment of calm, effortless luxury.
Day 2: Private access to the Sphinx & Great Pyramid of Giza

Today, you step onto the Giza Plateau not as a tourist, but as a guest. Our group has exclusive private access to the Sphinx enclosure, allowing for a quiet, personal audience with this ancient guardian. The highlight of the day is a comprehensive, private visit inside the Great Pyramid, exploring the Subterranean Chamber, the Queen’s Chamber, the soaring Grand Gallery, and the final, awe-inspiring King’s Chamber. This is a rare privilege to experience the pyramid’s profound silence and energy away from the public crowds.
Day 3: Exploring Saqqara, the Serapeum & The Grand Egyptian Museum

Venture to Saqqara, the vast necropolis that in 2025 is seeing treasures being unearthed on a daily basis. Stand before the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the world’s oldest colossal stone building. Then, descend into the Serapeum to walk among the gigantic, precision-cut sarcophagi in an underground hall—an experience that inspires as many questions as it answers about ancient technology and even the possibility of aliens! We’ll balance this ancient wonder with the modern at the Grand Egyptian Museum, home to the full treasures of Tutankhamun.
Day 4: Flight to Abu Simbel & board your private Nile charter

Fly south to the Nubian border for a day dedicated to the monumental. The twin temples of Abu Simbel, built by Ramses II and dedicated to his queen, Nefertari, were painstakingly relocated to save them from the rising waters of Lake Nasser. Their scale and preservation are simply breathtaking. In the afternoon, we fly to Aswan, where you will board your privately chartered Nile vessel, your floating sanctuary for the next six nights, and enjoy your first sunset on the river.
Day 5: The Temple of Isis on Philae Island in Aswan

Aswan has a different, more relaxed rhythm, influenced by its Nubian culture. A short boat ride takes you to the exquisite Philae Temple, dedicated to the Goddess Isis. This temple complex was also rescued and moved piece-by-piece to its current island setting. The elegant columns and carvings, set against the water, make it one of the Nile’s most picturesque sites. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy the gentle flow of life on the river.
Day 6: Sailing the Nile to Kom Ombo & Edfu Temples

Today is a day of sailing and discovery. We’ll stop at Kom Ombo, the unique double temple dedicated to both the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Horus. Later, visit the incredibly well-preserved Temple of Edfu, the largest and most complete Ptolemaic temple in Egypt, dedicated to Horus. As you sail north towards Luxor, watch daily life unfold along the riverbanks from the deck of your private vessel.
Day 7: The 2027 total solar eclipse from Luxor

This is the day of the main event: the total solar eclipse. Our privately chartered vessel will be positioned for an optimal, unobstructed view of totality over the ancient landscape of Luxor. As the world darkens and the sun’s corona appears in the middle of the day, you will witness this celestial phenomenon from one of the most spiritually significant places on Earth—a moment of shared, silent awe with your fellow travelers.
Day 8: The sacred temples of Abydos & Dendera

Today’s journey is for the soul. We travel to Abydos, one of Egypt’s most sacred ancient cities, to explore the magnificent Temple of Seti I with its stunning, brightly colored reliefs. Here, our group has exclusive private entry to the Osirion, a mysterious and powerfully atmospheric megalithic structure that feels leagues apart from the world above. We then continue to the Temple of Dendera, dedicated to Hathor, goddess of love and joy, renowned for its vibrant blue ceiling and the famous “Dendera light” carvings.
Day 9: Luxor's West Bank: Valley of the Kings & Hatshepsut's Temple

Explore the West Bank of Luxor, the vast “City of the Dead.” Descend into the world-famous Valley of the Kings, where you’ll visit a selection of the most spectacular royal tombs. See the stunning terraced temple of Queen Hatshepsut, built into the cliffs, and the massive, imposing Temple of Medinet Habu, covered in detailed battle scenes. We’ll also visit the Workers’ Village, a humbling look at the lives of the artisans who built these eternal monuments.
Day 10: Karnak & Luxor Temples, return to Cairo

No trip to Egypt is complete without Karnak and Luxor Temples. Walk through the forest of colossal columns in the Great Hypostyle Hall at Karnak—a place designed to humble human visitors. Later, explore the more intimate but equally powerful Luxor Temple, best experienced as the evening lights illuminate its sandstone walls. In the afternoon, we fly back to Cairo for our final night.
Day 11: Departure from Cairo

After breakfast at the hotel, private transfers will be provided based on your international flight departure times, ensuring a smooth and comfortable conclusion to your Egyptian odyssey.
Need to know
View this itinerary as a secured foundation for an exclusive experience. With standard accommodations in Luxor completely unavailable, we have guaranteed access to five-star Cairo hotels and private Nile charters. You have a choice of vessel: the classic luxury cruiser or the more intimate, 10-cabin dahabiya sailboat. A completely private charter is also possible for your party.
Please note that the day-by-day schedule is a fixed, curated sequence to ensure seamless group logistics and access. All our activities, movements, and timings are pre-approved by the security forces—vital to keep the city moving and avoid chaotic congestion at a time of unprecedented traffic and pedestrian footfall. However, I can happily arrange additional sightseeing or extended stays in Cairo before or after the main journey. My role is also to enhance your experience with pre-arranged luxuries, from private jet transfers to special celebrations.
The investment varies based on your choice of Nile vessel. Please contact me for a detailed, personalized quote and to discuss any additions to your trip.
