Things to do in London

  1. Savor street eats on Portobello Road
Start at Ladbroke Grove so you can dive straight into the food stalls—grab something delicious and street-style before wandering toward the vintage market. There’s no better way to shop for treasures than with a happy, full belly.

  2. Indulge at Borough Market
Borough Market is a must for any foodie. Try the famous Black Pig sandwich (you’ll thank me later), then treat yourself to strawberries dipped in chocolate. Afterward, walk it off along the South Bank until you reach Big Ben—trust me, you’ll need it after all that eating.

  3. Taste the world in Camden Market
Camden is a sensory overload in the best way possible. Come hungry and sample your way through food from every corner of the world—Korean, Venezuelan, Ethiopian, you name it. Finish your day with a walk to Primrose Hill, where you can watch the sunset with a few drinks and some of your market finds.

  4. Bite and browse at Spitalfields & Brick Lane
Grab a bite at Spitalfields Market while browsing through the stalls, then wander over to Brick Lane to explore London’s biggest underground vintage market. Between the food, fashion, and energy, this part of East London never disappoints.

  5. Eat your way through Soho & Mayfair
Stroll the streets of Soho and Mayfair and stop at Mercato Mayfair, a food hall in a historic building that was once a church—yes, you can literally enjoy pasta and pastries where people once prayed. Totally crazy, totally worth it! For a more local flavor, The Mayfair Chippy next door serves some of the city’s best fish and chips.

Places to eat & drink in London

  1. Dishoom
My absolute favorite! A tribute to the old Irani cafés of Bombay, Dishoom is always a treat. There are lots of locations across London, and each one is just as good. Heads up—they only take reservations until 5 pm, so if you go later, be ready for a bit of a wait. Totally worth it.

  2. OMA
OMA is London's first Greek restaurant to earn a Michelin star. The flavors are fresh and bold, and the vibe is relaxed enough to actually enjoy your meal without feeling fancy.

  3. Bancone
Modern Italian with some of the best handmade pasta in the city. The carbonara handkerchiefs are a must-try—seriously, the best pasta I’ve ever had.

  4. Tamarind
One of London’s first Michelin-starred Indian restaurants, and it lives up to the hype. The food is rich and flavorful, and I’ve been three times and loved it every single visit.

  5. The Plimsoll
A chill spot with a seriously good burger. Don’t overthink it, just order the burger and enjoy.

  6. Los Mochis
A fun mix of Mexican and Japanese flavors that actually works. Tacos, sushi, and cocktails—perfect for a lively night out with friends.

  7. Heddon Yokocho
An authentic ramen bar that feels like stepping into a Tokyo backstreet. The broth is rich, the noodles are perfect, and the whole vibe makes your ramen taste even better.

  8. Dove Restaurant
Located in Notting Hill, Dove serves what might just be the best burger in London. They only make 15 burgers a day, so to get one, you need to be there when the restaurant opens. Make a reservation for 5 pm to be among the first to order—you won’t regret it.

  9. Crème
Home of the cookies you’ll dream about later. Thick, gooey, and warm—basically impossible to resist.

  10. Keu Vietnamese
If you need something quick, this is the place to go. Their tofu coconut curry is comforting, flavorful, and perfect for a fast, satisfying meal on the go.

Need to know

London has so many amazing places to eat, but the spots on this list are especially popular. You’ll want to book your reservations weeks in advance; otherwise, you might find yourself waiting or missing out entirely. Planning ahead lets you enjoy your foodie adventure stress-free and make the most of everything the city has to offer.
