Things to do in Florida
Paddle-board rentals: Spend a morning watching a Florida sunrise on a paddle-board! There are many rental options found on this site.
Beach bonfires: If you aren't renting a vacation home with a bonfire pit, you can rent a beach bonfire!
Beach-cruisers: This is one of my favorite things about 30A/Rosemary Beach/Seaside is the proximity to cruise through town on a beach cruiser.
The village of Baytowne Wharf in Sandestin: This area offers a ton of activities, ideal for adults or families alike. Between the festivals and events, eateries and shops, you can always find something to do here. If you are staying at the Sandestin Beach Resort, be sure to rent a golf cart, it makes getting around so much easier!
HarborWalk Village in Destin: This is the place to be in the summer! The Tequila and Taco Fest is one of my favorites, as well as the best place to watch the ball drop if you're spending New Years Even in town, or Fireworks for the Fourth of July! Zip-lining, shops and live music are just a few things offered in this walkable "boardwalk" of Destin.
Crab Island Destin: Rent a boat or jet-ski and immerse yourself on Crab Island. This is a favorite local hangout on the water. Pull up to your fav local beachside bar on the dock, play beach volleyball or spend the day on a boat with friends — I wouldn't necessarily recommend for kids, as it is generally a party scene for those 21 and up.
Shopping: Seaside and Rosemary Beach have some local shops and boutiques, or head over to Destin Commons, an outside "mall", offering the typical well-known stores. Sandestin- Silver Sands Premium Outlets. Souvenir shops are a staple in any beach town- Sunsations and SurfStyle 113 are my top choices.
Places to eat & drink in Florida
Beignets & Brews: A local favorite! Think New Orleans meets Destin- bringing the infamous beignets, this is a great morning spot before starting your day's activities!
McGuires Pub: A Destin staple- it is located right across the bridge as you cross into Destin, across from the HarborWalk.
Pompano Joes: A great daytime drinking choice- situated with a beach-front view.
The Red Door Saloon: Being a Nashville resident, where the original location is, this was one of my favorite local hangouts when I lived in Destin!
Brotula's Seafood House & Steamer: A more classy waterfront restaurant, perfect for a date-night!
FudPuckers: Great for kids- be sure to see the alligators while you're there!
Pescado Seafood Grill & Rooftop Bar: Not many places offer "rooftops" in beach towns, but this is a must if you're in 30A/Rosemary Beach area.
The Craft Bar: For all the craft beer enthusiasts, this one is for you! Offering a sleuth of local brews, as well as some popular beer from different areas.
