Day 1: Visit Fort Jefferson & Dry Torugas National Park

Plan for an early departure with a fresh pastry and cup of coffee as you walk the short walk to the Yankee Freedom ferry. Visiting Fort Jefferson and Dry Torugas National Park is a must-do for any history buff. The massive 19th-century coastal fortress is one of the largest masonry structures in the Western Hemisphere. Tickets to this amazing destination sell out quickly. Purchase your ferry, seaplane, or private boat tour at least four months in advance. Don’t forget your swimsuit—the crystal-clear water is a welcome bonus after exploring Fort Jefferson with a ranger-led guide.
Day 2: Key West culture & history

Start your morning off with a Cuban coffee and toast at the Cuban Coffee Queen before exploring the Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum. Keep your eyes out for one of the many cats wandering around this historic fixture in Key West. Stop in at the Key West Lighthouse & Keeper’s Quarters before enjoying lunch at Santiago’s Bodega or El Siboney. How about a dip in the cool water at the southernmost point of the United States? So refreshing!
Dinner and drinks: Louie’s Backyard or Hot Tin Roof
Day 3: Water adventures & sunset sail

It is beach and water day! Relax and enjoy the cool and refreshing water as you snorkel at Sand Key or jet ski around the island. Feeling a bit more adventurous, how about paddleboarding or kayaking through mangroves?
Enjoy lunch at Half Shell Raw Bar or Hogfish Bar & Grill. Spend the afternoon chilling at Smathers Beach or Fort Zachary Taylor State Park.
Your evening can be sent on a sunset sailing cruise
Dinner: Azur or The Flaming Buoy Filet Co.
Day 4: A scenic drive to Marathon to see the turtles

Drive to Marathon (1 hr 15 min), a scenic drive over the Seven Mile Bridge for a tour of the Turtle Hospital. One of the best places in the US for turtle rescue and rehabilitation. You will be touched by the hour-long educational tour and see recovering turtles. Space is limited, so book in advance.
After lunch at the Keys Fisheries or Castaway Waterfront, you can return to Key West for dinner at Louie’s Backyard.
