Curator’s statement
Honestly, people think you’re supposed to outgrow Disney World, but for me, the magic hits just as hard now as it did when I was a kid. There’s just something about it—the second you walk under those train tracks at Magic Kingdom or catch that first glimpse of the castle, the rest of the world just kind of fades out. It’s not even just about the rides (though they're incredible); it’s the way the whole place makes you feel. Between the insane level of detail in the parks, the food at EPCOT, and the fireworks show that impresses me every time, it’s the ultimate escape. It’s the one place where you can totally unplug and just have pure, uninhibited fun. No matter how old I get, that Disney magic still gets me—every single time.

Day 1: Magic Kingdom

Happily Ever After
This is a high-volume day where you’ll balance the "Mountains" with the nostalgic dark rides. Start by purchasing the Single Pass for TRON and using your Multi Pass for the heavy hitters.
Morning
Arrive by 7:30 a.m. for Early Entry. Rope drop Seven Dwarfs Mine Train or Peter Pan’s Flight. Once the park officially opens, sprint to Space Mountain. While the morning crowds are still at the front, do a "Fantasyland Loop" and knock out The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and It’s a Small World.
Afternoon
Use your Multi Pass for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Big Thunder Mountain. For a mid-day "cool down," grab a Dole Whip and hit Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid and Pirates of the Caribbean—both have high-capacity queues that move fast. If you need a total reset, the Hall of Presidents offers 20 minutes of glorious A/C.
Evening
As the sun sets, use a Multi Pass for the Haunted Mansion—it’s much spookier at night. Watch Happily Ever After from near Pecos Bill in Frontierland for a quick exit.

A note from Brianne
If the park is open late, the last hour is "golden hour." Rides like Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin often become walk-ons while everyone else is watching the fireworks.
Day 2: EPCOT

EPCOT
EPCOT is massive, so we’re going to use "filler" rides to keep you moving while you wait for your big windows. Buy the Single Pass for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
Morning
If entering the front, hit Frozen Ever After first; from the Skyliner, hit Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. After the big one, knock out The Seas with Nemo & Friends and Journey into Imagination with Figment—these are almost always walk-ons and get you out of the sun.
Afternoon
Start your trek around the World Showcase booths. Between snacks, use your Multi Pass for Soarin' Around the World. If the heat is intense, take a 15-minute boat ride on Living with the Land—it’s underrated, chill, and actually really cool to see the Disney greenhouses.
Evening
Before the night show, ride Spaceship Earth (the "big ball"). Everyone rides it at 9 a.m., but at 8 p.m., the line usually vanishes. Catch Luminous the Symphony of Us to close out the night.

A note from Brianne
The International Gateway entrance (Skyliner) is the ultimate "secret" entrance—use it to bypass the main gate chaos.
Day 3: Resort & Disney Springs

Disney Springs
Morning
Zero alarms. Have a lazy character breakfast and spend the morning by the pool.
Afternoon
Head to Disney Springs. Immediately join the virtual queue for Gideon’s Bakehouse. While waiting for your cookies, hit World of Disney for your souvenir haul.
Evening
Dinner at The Boathouse or Homecomin’.

A note from Brianne
If your resort has boat transportation, take it. It’s the most relaxing "ride" of the entire trip and a great way to see the resort landscapes.
Day 4: Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios
This park has the longest average waits, so we’ll use "filler" attractions to maximize your time. Buy the Single Pass for Rise of the Resistance.
Morning
Rope drop Slinky Dog Dash. If that line is already 60+ minutes, pivot to Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Afterward, grab a quick Multi Pass for Toy Story Mania—it’s a total blast and moves faster than the coaster.
Afternoon
Dive into Galaxy’s Edge. Use the Single Rider line for Smugglers Run to save time. When you need a break from the sun, hit Star Tours—it rarely has a long wait these days and has a ton of different mission variations. If you need a seat, the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular is a must.
Evening
Use a Multi Pass for Tower of Terror and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. Catch the second showing of Fantasmic! for better seating.

A note from Brianne
Ride Alien Swirling Saucers during the first Fantasmic show; it’s a quick "filler" ride that usually has a 10-minute wait at night.
Day 5: Animal Kingdom

Kilimanjaro Safaris
Animal Kingdom opens the earliest of all the parks, so be at the gates by 7 a.m. to make the most of it. Buy a Single Pass for Avatar Flight of Passage immediately—it is a breathtaking 4D experience that consistently has the longest line in the park.
Morning
Start your day in Pandora. If you arrive for Early Entry, rope drop Na’vi River Journey to see the incredible Shaman animatronic before the crowds arrive. Once you’ve explored the floating mountains, trek over to Kilimanjaro Safaris. You want to do this as early as possible because the lions, rhinos, and giraffes are much more active and visible before the midday heat kicks in.
Afternoon
Head to the Harambe Theater for the Festival of the Lion King. It’s a Broadway-caliber show with acrobats, fire dancers, and incredible singers—it’s the perfect way to get off your feet in a dark, air-conditioned theater. After the show, use the Single Rider line for Expedition Everest—you can often ride it two or three times in a row this way!
Evening
Head over to Animal Kingdom Lodge for a final "safari" dinner at Sanaa. If you ask for a window seat, you can watch the giraffes and zebras roam the savanna while you eat their legendary nine-sauce bread service.
The big finish
Since Animal Kingdom usually closes around 7 or 8 p.m., use your Hopper Pass for one last hurrah! Hop back to Magic Kingdom for a final ride on the Haunted Mansion or to catch the fireworks one last time, or head to EPCOT for a nightcap and a stroll through the World Showcase to end your trip on a high note.
Need to know
The seven-day advantage
If you stay at a Disney Resort, you can book your Lightning Lanes seven days before check-in. This is the single biggest advantage for getting the best ride times.
Weather reality
In 2026, Florida weather remains predictably unpredictable. It will rain for 30 minutes every afternoon. Pack ponchos and keep moving; lines often drop during the rain as others run for cover.
The "Minnie Van" splurge
If you are running late or tired of buses, use the Minnie Van service (via the Lyft app). They are Disney-owned SUVs with car seats that can drop you at the very front of the Magic Kingdom—something regular Ubers/Lyfts aren't allowed to do.
Best time to visit
Aim for late January through early February for the lowest crowds and manageable weather. September is the quietest month but is peak hurricane season and extremely humid.
