On a recommendation, I chose the Andaz Shenzhen Bay, located next to China Resources headquarters and not far from the border crossing to Hong Kong.
I stayed in a deluxe partial ocean view room, which was spacious and had a sea view. The facilities were generally well-maintained. The $50 credit was good for drinks at the hotel.
