Also, she presented options for lodging that were strategic and practical based on our objectives, preferences, and costs. She helped us to consider the many options available at each destination, develop a plan, and make reservations to ensure that we experienced the highlights of each destination including tours and events. Additionally, she ensured that our plans included some unstructured time so that we were free to explore and not feel overbooked. In March 2024, I spent time in Barcelona and Madrid. I fell in love with the culture in Madrid. The Westin Palace, where I stayed, was within walking distance to the triangle of museums; Prado, Thyssen-Bornemisza and the Reina Sofia. The breathtaking Park El Retiro was a 10-minute stroll away. The room was so lovely that I could have enjoyed just staying in the hotel, but this walkable city was calling to me and it was the perfect location to explore.
