My Story
I spent 15 years living and working on board cruise ships, rising through ship operations and guest-facing roles across multiple itineraries and lines. I’ve seen how itineraries function in practice, how port days actually unfold, and how ship scale shapes what guests experience once they’re on board.
Most cruise advice focuses on destinations. I focus on whether the experience will hold up once you’re at sea.
Cruise decisions are often made based on marketing language, surface similarities between itineraries, or price shifts that don’t reflect real differences in structure. I analyze the elements that determine how a sailing actually feels: ship fit, itinerary pacing, port density, cabin logic, timing, and onboard flow.
The goal is simple: reduce uncertainty before you book, so the cruise you choose delivers what it promises.
If you want operational insight applied to your cruise decision, I work at that structural level.
I am also the author of Inside the Floating City and The Discerning Voyager, books exploring cruise ship operations, booking logic, and experience fit.
Travel Style
I approach cruise travel strategically. I prioritize itinerary integrity, thoughtful pacing, and ships that align with a traveler’s expectations and psychology. I value depth over gimmicks and clarity over promotions. Every recommendation is grounded in how ships operate in reality, not just how they are marketed.
