My Story
By day I work in technology, but travel has been the other constant in my life. For 17 years I led cultural immersion and service trips for over 200 high school and college students across three continents as a side hustle through a global leadership nonprofit—and the passion never faded. Almost 40 countries and some amazing places: Patagonia, Kathmandu, the UAE, Iceland, and I'm still working through my list. The thread running through all of it has been cultural exploration and I'd love to help you, your family, and your friends discover more of this grand, wide world.

Around the World: Singapore, Kathmandu, Istanbul & Malta
Go travel with your kids. When one of my daughters was in a wedding in Kathmandu, I did just that and had the trip of a lifetime. Of course, we made sure it was socially acceptable to go, wedding and all, and it was. So my other daughter and I planned a trip around the world. A stop in Singapore, a few days for the wedding in Kathmandu, a stopover in Istanbul, meeting my wife for Christmas in Malta, a stopover in Frankfurt, and then back to D.C. It was the trip of a lifetime.

Patagonia, the region in southern Argentina and Chile, has long been on my list. I was first exposed to the location in the late 1980s when I had a part-time job at REI during college and learned about the clothing brand (which is also fascinating and ask me about my collection, and then, therefore, the region.) Hard to get to, vast and sparsely populated, dramatic landscapes. This is a trip of a lifetime.
