I’m a boutique travel advisor whose parents should have assigned me the middle name “wanderlust.” I give the nth degree of detail to planning your getaway, be it as modest as an overnight business stay, or means of breaking up a long trip, to a once-in-a-lifetime excursion.

While the mainstays should be visited—Chicago’s “Bean,” Hollywood's Walk of Fame, New York's Times Square, Paris's Eiffel Tower, London's Big Ben, I make it a point to smoke out extraordinary experiences. How about a millinery class in Louisville, fashioning your own fascinator or hat for the Kentucky Derby? Climbing Solisbury Hill in the Cotswolds region of England, channeling Peter Gabriel? Spending the night in the oldest privately owned castle in Ireland, with scones, fresh cream, marmelade, coffee, and tea for breakfast, brought to your door on a tray by the castle’s owner?
