My Story
I’ve had the opportunity to travel with my church on missions-oriented trips that involved both serving and learning—especially learning about places connected to Scripture. Through those experiences, travel became more than just going somewhere new. For me, it became a way to serve, but also a way to understand what I’ve read more deeply by being present in those places.
I also love photography, and it has shaped how I experience travel. When I visit a place, I’m drawn to trying to capture its essence—the story it tells and what makes it unique. That’s especially true with nature and landscape photography.
I’ve spent time in places like Yellowstone, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Arches, the Badlands, and other national parks. Each of them is beautiful in a different way, and each carries its own sense of place. I enjoy slowing down in environments like that and trying to notice what makes them special.
I believe experiences like these—whether here in the continental US or abroad—can be enriching for anyone. Travel, at its best, creates space for deeper meaning, reflection, and connection, rather than just moving from one stop to the next. That’s the perspective I bring with me when I think about travel.
Travel Style
My approach to travel is intentional and reflective. I’m drawn to experiences that allow time to slow down, notice a place, and understand its story—whether that’s through faith-based journeys, time in nature, or photography. I value small-group travel that creates space for learning, conversation, and meaningful connection, rather than rushing from one highlight to the next.
