My Story
I’m Sona Thakkar, a travel advisor and travel coach who can support you from start to finish in dreaming, planning, experiencing, and reflecting on your perfect vacation. I am also an everyday wife and mom of two adult children who loves to travel and create cherished family memories purposefully.
Through my work, I combine the expertise of travel advising with the heart of travel coaching. That means we don’t just talk about where to go. We explore why you’re going, how you want to feel, and what memories you want to create. Then, I take care of the details to make that vision real. My approach blends reflection with action, so every trip becomes a chance to reconnect with what matters most.
Travel should never be another thing on your to-do list. It should be the thing that helps you breathe again. And I want all my clients to enjoy the process of setting goals and planning family trips, with ease and without the overwhelm. After a 25+ year career in communications, with specific expertise in planning and execution, I am now focused on using those skills in helping busy moms craft their dream family vacations.
Travel Style
Any type of travel to me is an adventure. I thrive on the anticipation of an upcoming trip. It becomes an exciting event to dream about, prepare for, experience thoroughly, and reflect on the memories every single time. My style isn’t to travel for the sake of travel. It’s a whole vibe and deserves to be treated with the utmost care, whether it’s an outdoor adventure, a road trip across the states, a European vacation, or relaxing at the beach.
