My Story
Tbilisi-based travel addict and aesthete with a discerning eye for creatively inspired hotels, a soft spot for far-flung places and an obsession for positive impact travel.
My Travel Style
I've journeyed to over 40 countries, reaching the farthest-flung corners of the world, but travel for me is not just about ticking off destinations — it's about forging connections and celebrating places that tell stories through their aesthetic and positive impact ethos. When I plan travel, I research and devour literary travel books, tap into my travel networks, and scour each destination to find the perfect anchor hotels and locally immersive experiences. I seek out originality, beauty and personality, focusing on unique, value-aligned boutique hotels and carefully crafted, authentic experiences. I love nudging increasingly conscious travelers towards slower travel and hotels that are beautiful inside and out. Think boutique hotels, off-grid hideaways, farmhouse stays and swanky design hotels. Luxury? Yes, especially the kind that's not cookie-cutter or overly fussy. While my niche is conscious travel for discerning travelers, I am happy to work with any kind of traveler to craft that perfect experience, combining points and budget-savvy tactics to maximize value and create memorable journeys.

Saskia is the best travel advisor I have encountered. She listened carefully to our interests and reflected these back in the many recommendations she provided. We arrived in Greece, armed with city kit guides, restaurant recommendations, and sites not to miss. Saskia has an incredible eye and recommended gorgeous lodging at a range of prices. When it came down to booking, it could not have been easier! Loved, loved the experience of working with Saskia!

Luang Prabang: For Slow Travel Enthusiasts
The ancient capital of Luang Prabang works its quiet magic from the start—a riverside town where monks in saffron robes glide past weathered colonial facades, French bakeries, and open-air markets stacked with dragon fruit and bamboo-trussed crayfish. Days unfold slowly here, with sunrise alms, temple-dotted bike rides across the Mekong, and hands-on experiences at places like Living Land Farm and Ock Pop Tok—pioneers of Laos’s community-based, sustainable tourism. Evenings bring sunset drinks by the river and socially conscious shopping, from naturally dyed textiles to soda-can-stitched chameleons. With Laos on the cusp of change (New York Times: “Is This the Year Laos Breaks Through?”), now is the time to experience its offbeat rhythms and reflect on how we engage with the places we visit.

Satri House Hotel: Refined Luxury for Discerning Travelers
During a familiarization trip to Laos this September, I stumbled upon a true gem: Satri House Hotel. It wasn’t just the architecture or location that swept me off my feet — it was the way this small boutique hotel embodies the soul of Luang Prabang, where history lingers in the air, and creativity quietly flourishes.
Once the residence of a Lao prince, Satri House feels like a portal to another time. With teakwood-framed furniture, handwoven silks and sepia-toned portraits of long-forgotten moments lining serene corridors. But it’s the small touches that linger in memory: a chilled, lemongrass-scented towel placed in your hands upon arrival, a bedside bowl of savory bamboo chips nestled in banana leaves, the gentle knock of room service delivering afternoon tea and the soft hum of lemongrass on a passing breeze.
Satri House doesn’t flaunt luxury — it beckons quietly, revealing itself through thoughtful gestures that make you feel both welcomed and deeply cared for. This is understated elegance at its finest.
