My Story
Known as a multi-disciplinary travel enthusiast, I keep my standards high while sticking to a budget. I’m dedicated to finding hidden gems and authentic, cool spots. Let’s make your next adventure unforgettable. Let me handle the planning!
Travel Style
I’d want to go out to eat and see local culture firsthand. I enjoy visiting countries where there is always a beach close by to big metropolitan cities and buildings. I enjoy having choices and embracing each day as it comes to making the most memorable experiences possible. My favorite types of hotels are boutique and apart-hotels. My first stop on any holiday is an espresso at a local cafe.

Overall, the travel agent experience with Samar needs to be improved. There were situations where Samar helped me, such as when a tour guide operator didn’t show up, or when activity pickup times would randomly change against the tourist’s wishes.
However, there were also a few situations that really negatively impacted my experience. One major issue was when I was forced to pay an extra guest fee for what I understood to already be a 2-guest hotel reservation. When I expressed frustration and stress about the situation in real time, the responses I received felt very tone deaf, such as “Enjoy your time, I hope it works out for you” or “What’s not working out?” and then later the issue was attributed back to “hotel policy.” Regardless of hotel policy, the situation should have been communicated and handled much more clearly beforehand instead of putting the guest in that position at check-in.
Another reason why I was frustrated with the experience was because Samar later wanted to charge an additional $150 fee just to book restaurant reservations for NYC, even after I had already paid a separate travel planning fee for Rio. I also felt confused by this because throughout most of the Rio trip, I was the one doing a large amount of the actual planning, sending ideas, finding places, and building the itinerary direction myself, while Samar would mainly help coordinate and occasionally add bookings or activities onto the itinerary.
I think the communication, expectation management, and overall handling of stressful situations need significant improvement for the experience to feel worth the additional fees being charged.

Samar was a great advisor for our Iceland trip. She helped us with the hotels, routes, and plans. She gave us great food recommendations and was there every time we had questions. She is great at her job!

We’re very grateful that Samar helped us book this hotel! The staff was lovely and we enjoyed the location a lot. It was walking distance from the heart of Istanbul, and we had a view of the water from our room. This hotel also had a great breakfast, which was included. I would recommend having Samar as your travel agent—and trying this lovely hotel out! She’s good at choosing great hotel options and working with your budget. She’s also very patient as this was our first international trip (that wasn’t an all inclusive resort). 10/10 would recommend her to others!

Christmas Magic in London
I love Christmas! I love Christmas even more in London because no matter what street you take, Christmas lights and music are echoed. There are more Christmas markets in London than you can count, and each one offers something unique. I celebrated my birthday and Jesus' birthday in this luxurious city, solo, and I loved every minute. I met people in the most random ways and have made new friends that have a British accent, hehe. xx

Four Days in Banff on a Budget
Banff, Alberta, had long been a destination I admired from afar, and realizing it was only a three-hour flight finally inspired me to make the trip. I chose to visit in the summer, as the winter climate is a bit too extreme for me, and it proved to be the ideal time to experience the region’s mountains, lakes, and trails. The scenery was even more breathtaking in person and far exceeded my expectations. It was truly the best trip of my life, and a destination I look forward to returning to.

How to Spend 5 Days in Iceland
I never thought of going to Iceland until I realized it was only a six-hour flight away from home. What makes it special is its otherworldly landscapes—glaciers, volcanoes, waterfalls, and hot springs. The Northern Lights and Midnight Sun add a magical touch.

Adventure in Tulum, Mexico
Most people associate Mexico with beach parties, resorts and occasionally even the unsafe parts of the country. I am not a resort person and would rather have a relaxing time in a unique hotel for a more personalized experience. Tulum is the perfect place for people like me who want to enjoy the splendor of the Caribbean and Mexico in one. It offers the perfect blend of adventure and fun, with relaxation and wellness! SO many unique hotels and restaurants in Tulum becoming a must visit for everyone.

The Two Sides of Los Angeles, CA
When I think of Los Angeles, I think of Hollywood, celebrities, Beverly Hills, beaches and palm trees. For me, Los Angeles is one of my favorite cities in the US! You can be at the Malibu beach and 10 minutes later be hiking in the mountains. It is very remote and has diverse activities for all types of visitor interests.

10 Days of Christmas in Paris, France
Have you ever thought to yourself, "Christmas is just not the same anymore?" That was me last year, when I decided that I needed to experience spending Christmas in Europe to feel that holiday spark. What's more magical than that? Seeing the Eiffel Tower sparkle on Christmas Day! Paris is the city of love and experiencing the holidays here with the variety of Christmas markets, fresh patisseries in local bakeries and Christmas lights decorations all over the city. It was truly remarkable! In Paris, there’s festive fun to be found in every arrondissement.

Four days in Nice, France and the French Riviera
With summer quickly approaching, I thought about my favorite summer holidays that I've taken. South of France was a no-brainer because I loved being sun-kissed on the French Riviera, surrounded by small towns, big cities and having the French language spoken as music to my ears. With over 300 days of sunshine each year, it is a popular spot for a holiday at any time of the year. The French Riviera is misconstructed for being luxurious and expensive. With this guide I will provide tips on how to make the Côte d’Azur less overwhelming, and more affordable than you think!

Traveling to Chicago: A First-Time Visitors Guide
I've lived in Chicago for the past 21 years, but until a few years ago, I had no idea what an amazing city it was. Throughout the year, Chicago provides a plethora of activities and attractions for tourists of all ages and interests! Though the summer is the best time to visit, especially if it's your first time, the winter months are jam-packed with activities like festivals and Christmas markets. Everyone should visit Chicago at least once, in my opinion, as it boasts the most breathtaking skyline, a lovely beach (lake) and the best cafés and restaurants.
