My Story
My wife and I joke that whenever I plan a trip to travel somewhere, our itinerary ends up in the NYT travel section six months later.
A New York based wanderlust. Currently a dad explorer with my family. As a former around-the-world solo traveler who has been to 38 countries and 45 states, I can introduce you to the best food, wines, hotels, and cultures around the world.
Travel Style
Family, couple, solo travel—I’ve done it all. Planes, trains, automobiles, boats—I’ve taken them all. From luxe 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay (Kauai) to cosmopolitan chic Le Bains (Paris) to romantic value Embrace Calistoga (Napa B&B), I’ll find the destination that fits your goals. If you are looking for food and wine recommendations, then you’ve come to the right spot. I can work on everything from super luxury to mid-range, Love city chic, local and authentic, and anything from romantic couples to family adventure. My favorite way to travel is to build tent-pole itineraries that combine a few pre-planned key activities with room for serendipity.

Our stay at the Savoy Palace was wonderful. We had a Superior Ocean View room with a balcony. What a view. The king bed was very comfortable and we slept well. Housekeeping came in twice a day and our room as always clean. The bath area had a large shower and was very nice.
The staff at the hotel was excellent and cared about the guests. We loved the outdoor pool area, and the the spa. The massages were great. The food at the hotel’s restaurants was very tasty and the breakfast buffet had a very large selection of different breakfast foods. The hotel’s location was within walking distance to old town Funchal.

From Harry Potter to Tiptoeing Through Tulips: A Unique Kind of Eurostar Family Vacation
One challenge of family trips when well-traveled is finding the right balance. Balancing activities for kids and adults. Balancing must see international staples and new, exciting adventures. Doing things that are culturally of a place—but that don’t have the kids rebelling against it. This trip to London and the Netherlands balances it all.
