Having lived all over the country— from Hawai‘i to Washington State and now, Washington, D.C.—and traveled to destinations around the world, I've developed a true love for the intersection of travel and design. We worked with Rachel Small from Citizens Row to plan a trip to Riviera Maya and Mexico City, and the experience was outstanding. From the very beginning, Rachel genuinely listened to what we wanted — the vibe, the pace, the types of places we enjoy — and then built an itinerary that felt completely us.
Nothing was generic or templated. She found unique hotels, great local restaurants, incredible dessert and espresso spots, and experiences that were thoughtful, interesting, and memorable. Even the logistics — transportation, reservations, timing — all felt smooth and well-handled. We just got to enjoy the trip without stress.
What stood out most was how attentive and responsive Rachel was. It always felt like we had someone who knew the area well, understood how we travel, and truly cared about us having an amazing time.
We had a fantastic trip — honestly, our expectations were more than fulfilled. We will absolutely use Rachel at Citizens Row again and would recommend them to anyone who wants a personal, curated, one-of-a-kind travel experience, not a cookie-cutter package.

Rachel is top notch! I can't wait to book my next trip with her. She is responsive, friendly, flexible, and really takes her time to make sure her plans and recommendations align seamlessly to the client. I am impressed by her thorough approach and attention to detail, she made every moment of our trip count while allowing us to go at a comfortable pace, and immediately jumped on new ideas or concerns throughout the planning process. She also did a wonderful job with the sequencing of our different events, and created the perfect mix of activities each day.
