My Story
A former study abroad coordinator who loves helping other people plan trips (almost!) as much as I love planning and sharing my own.
My Travel Style
I love boutique hotels, restaurants and bars favored by locals, unusual walking tours, food and drink experiences, and unexpected gems. When I travel, bigger isn’t usually better. While “must sees” are fun, there’s always much more to a place. I enjoy a mix of both – while also having down time to sit and savor a cup of coffee or a glass of wine in a cafe and watch the world go by. I enjoy photography and look for beauty in unexpected places when I travel. This means, among other things, respecting local cultures and seeing the dignity and merit in everyday life. I love traveling to less visited places. I am a traveler at heart, a geographer by training, and compulsive about planning. I love putting all that together to help people create a wonderful trip, whether a short weekend getaway or the trip of a lifetime.

All of Rachel’s recommendations were great! She was thoughtful in the choices she provided and made sure to accommodate our travel style. I loved working with Rachel and will reach out again to use her for future travels.

Rachel did an amazing job gathering various options based on what our travel style was. She communicated in a timely manner and went above and beyond with our requests.

Rachel was great to work with. She really listened to the needs of my group of 4 travelers. Rachel not only helped us book the hotel, but went beyond and helped us with suggestions for restaurants and advice on attractions we were interested in. Specifically, Rachel advised me on how and when I should book tickets for the Anne Frank Museum. My family would not have been able to experience the Anne Frank Museum, if not for Rachel's advice.

Rachel was very familiar with London and when given our interests, was able to direct us to the perfect location to stay. Rachel had advised us to book early to get a family room, as we had 4 in our group and the limit in a standard room is 3 people. I did not heed her advice and so had to book 2 rooms. Next time I will listen to her and book earlier! Rachel was also helpful with transit options and suggesting restaurants and food courts that would work for everyone in our group. She also suggested we book any major tourist attractions well in advance, and that was incredibly helpful advice.

Not Your Typical Food Guide to Dublin
My husband is a Dubliner whose whole family still lives in Ireland so we spend a lot of time in Ireland’s capital. Over many, many visits, I’ve had so much fun exploring the Dublin food scene. My in-laws have great suggestions and I particularly enjoy introducing them to places in their own city they’d never heard of. Here are some of my favorites, in and around the city center, in no particular order.
