My Story
A former study abroad coordinator who loves helping other people plan trips (almost!) as much as I love planning and sharing my own.
Travel Style
I love boutique hotels, restaurants and bars favored by locals, unusual walking tours, food and drink experiences, and unexpected gems. When I travel, bigger isn’t usually better. While “must sees” are fun, there’s always much more to a place. I enjoy a mix of both – while also having down time to sit and savor a cup of coffee or a glass of wine in a cafe and watch the world go by. I enjoy photography and look for beauty in unexpected places when I travel. This means, among other things, respecting local cultures and seeing the dignity and merit in everyday life. I love traveling to less visited places. I am a traveler at heart, a geographer by training, and compulsive about planning. I love putting all that together to help people create a wonderful trip, whether a short weekend getaway or the trip of a lifetime.

Rachel was wonderful to work with in planning our trip to Berlin, Prague, Dresden, and Görlitz. Our itinerary balanced sightseeing with time spent visiting our child who was studying abroad, and Rachel helped us find the perfect mix of activities for both. She also researched and recommended a day trip to Görlitz — an absolute hidden gem that we never would have discovered on our own. It was one of the highlights of the entire trip. Highly recommend reaching out to Rachel for assistance in planning your next adventure!

I can’t recommend Rachel McGraw highly enough. She helped my husband and me plan a trip to Portugal and NYC that involved a pretty complicated schedule, required appointments, changing logistics, weather disruptions, and honestly just a lot of moving pieces overall.
What made such a difference was that she really understood the way we like to travel and the kinds of experiences we were hoping to have. She didn’t just book hotels and transportation. She guided us toward beautiful walkable locations, wonderful towns, meaningful experiences, and even music suggestions that helped shape the feeling of the trip itself. I felt like she was paying attention not just to where we were going, but to how we wanted the experience to feel while we were there.
She was also amazing when unexpected problems came up. We had scheduling conflicts, weather issues, and even a blizzard affecting travel plans, and every time something changed, she calmly helped us navigate it. She reached out to hotels and travel connections, helped smooth out logistics, and made situations that could have been really stressful, feel manageable instead.
Most importantly, I just felt very supported throughout the entire process. Because of that, I was actually able to relax and enjoy the experience with my husband instead of constantly thinking about coordination and what might go wrong next.
Rachel is thoughtful, empathetic, incredibly competent, and genuinely caring. I’m really grateful we had her guidance for this trip, and I honestly don’t think I’ll plan a trip without her.

Rachel planned a fantastic multigenerational family trip to Vietnam for us over the Christmas holidays, perfectly balancing standout experiences like the Vespa tour, Ha Long Bay kayaking, cyclo rides, and hands‑on activities for our kids. Her attention to detail and choice of excellent hotels made it seamless and memorable throughout—we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

Not Your Typical Food Guide to Dublin
My husband is a Dubliner whose whole family still lives in Ireland so we spend a lot of time in Ireland’s capital. Over many, many visits, I’ve had so much fun exploring the Dublin food scene. My in-laws have great suggestions and I particularly enjoy introducing them to places in their own city they’d never heard of. Here are some of my favorites, in and around the city center, in no particular order.
