My Story
The Maldives. Private jets. Hidden Paris. And everywhere in between, where luxury quietly exhales.
Decades in aviation, an entrepreneur at heart, dust of many lands on my soles—I’ve built businesses and crossed continents, discovering what is genuinely extraordinary. I cut through the noise, because so much looks good—but not all of it is truly extraordinary.
MaldivesEye, Choose Well Travel, and the soon-launching editorial journey Places Worth Going.
Travel Style
I arrive knowing what I want to find—and leave room for what finds me. The best tea house in Kyoto, a hidden courtyard in Paris. And always, the little place around the corner that nobody planned.
The Maldives is where I always return. Warm saltwater, the line between water and air blurred. Time dissolving, fins on, snorkeling, where the marine life keeps revealing new experiences. Mornings in the ocean, afternoons that ask nothing of you—organic food. Barefoot luxury at its best. Active and still at once. Grounded, yet somehow your wings unfold. The world I explore through MaldivesEye.
Sometimes it’s the details that sneak up on you—the weight of the sheets, the softness of the towels. And then there is design. The kind that stops you in your tracks, or the kind that simply amplifies nature, letting the sightlines, the light, the landscape speak. Nature and design in quiet conversation with each other.
And then there is service. Not the performative kind—the kind that arrives as a smile at exactly the right moment, that anticipates without hovering, that makes you feel genuinely seen. I know my clients well. That is not separate from the work—it is the work.
Then there is medieval France—where I once lived among walls that have stood a thousand years. Bold vignettes and crumbling whispers. Places that put everything into perspective. We are, after all, just whispers on this earth.
And then there are cities. Getting lost in Paris, turning a corner into something unexpected, the adventure of a place that reveals itself slowly to those willing to wander.
Certain spaces change your internal pace before you consciously recognize it. The emotional side of travel is the less talked-about and perhaps, the most important. This is what I look for. This is what I build trips around.
In a world saturated with beautiful imagery, I am still learning when to be drawn in—and when to quietly turn away. Discernment, it turns out, is the rarest luxury of all.

Although I've only been working with Nohl Martin for the past few months, she has already made an enormous impression on me. From our very first conversations, she took the time to understand my travel style and what matters most to me, and she has been proactive, thoughtful, and incredibly responsive every step of the way.
When she learned I was planning a trip to Bangkok, she immediately offered to book my stay at The Peninsula Bangkok. Thanks to her affiliation with Fora Travel, she secured a wonderful rate along with exceptional perks, including complimentary daily breakfast, a beautiful high-floor room, and a generous hotel credit for dining or spa treatments. Those added benefits made an already extraordinary hotel even more memorable, and I was so grateful for her expertise.
What has impressed me most, however, is the incredible amount of work she has put into planning my upcoming two-month adventure through Tanzania, Uganda, Madagascar, and the Seychelles. She has thoughtfully organized every detail of this epic journey—from mountain gorilla trekking in Uganda and exciting safaris in Tanzania to a cooking class in Zanzibar and swimming with whale sharks in Madagascar. Her knowledge, organization, and attention to detail have made what could have been an overwhelming planning process feel effortless and exciting.
Nohl genuinely cares about creating unforgettable travel experiences, and it shows in everything she does. She anticipates needs, offers thoughtful suggestions, and is always looking for ways to add value. Knowing she is coordinating my travels gives me complete confidence that every detail has been carefully considered.
I feel incredibly fortunate to have found Nohl and look forward to many more adventures with her. If you're looking for a travel advisor who is knowledgeable, dedicated, and truly invested in creating exceptional, personalized journeys, I recommend her wholeheartedly.

A Local's Guide to Kirkland: The Sausalito of the Pacific Northwest
Kirkland is the kind of place you stumble into and wonder why no one told you sooner. I have known it as home on and off for decades, which is why this reads more like a walk with a friend than a checklist. Twenty minutes from Seattle on the quieter side of Lake Washington, it has the long summer evenings, the walkable downtown, the marinas, and rail trail that make a small town feel like enough. People compare it to Sausalito for good reason.

Maldives: Two COMOs, One Long Exhale
Sometimes the greatest luxury is time that asks nothing of you—no performance, no agenda, just nature, genuine connection, and the rare pleasure of being met exactly where you are. That is what these two properties offer, and why certain travelers return to them, again and again. I have been one of those travelers for more than fifteen years.
