Monica Tirado

Born and raised in the melting-pot city of Miami, FL, cultural diversity, sunny beaches and an eclectic food scene were the hallmarks of my childhood. For that reason, I have always craved adventure, along with a desire to befriend people of different backgrounds and immerse myself in their culture. But even nomads have their limits, and in my case, my predisposition for meticulous planning is as strong as my wanderlust gene. When I'm not planning travel, I'm traveling according to plan, while also leaving room for the unexpected and spontaneous moments that lead us off the beaten path. I'm not ashamed to admit my love for cliché travel (you can frequently find me park-hopping in Disney World or playing trivia on cruise ship), but I'm just as happy hiking above the clouds in Madeira, wine tasting in the White Villages of Spain or on a road trip through the Mojave Desert.
