I don’t know when exactly, but my fascination with food started at a young age. Like many children, I would enjoy playing in my imaginary kitchen, or, I took it one step further, the grocery store. Imaginary transformed into real life, and I began to cook and prepare meals on my own. I would turn my parents’ kitchen into a diner (although I wasn’t a strong speller, so it was “Mindy’s Dinner”) and prepare meals for my family. My specialty was “Mindy McMuffins” on weekend mornings. I would wake up early, take everyone’s order, prepare sandwiches to their liking, and deliver it to them. Weekend breakfasts gradually turned into more involved meals. When I got my license, I began to take over the responsibility of grocery shopping and preparing dinner for my parents and siblings. Food was my passion, and I kept pursuing new foods and recipes. My love for food and the endless flavor possibilities is one of the reasons I love traveling so much. I want to try it all, see it all.
