The beach is my sanctuary: waves, sun, and horizon slowing life to a peaceful pace. Cruising is my passport to multiple adventures—new ports, new cultures, and the comfort of a ship that feels like home. From ancient cities to breathtaking landscapes, travel transforms me. Our Clearwater boat race weekend wouldn't have been the same without Will Davis as our travel agent. He did an outstanding job selecting The Avalon Club three-bedroom condo, which turned out to be the perfect spot for our family and friends. The balcony overlooked the race finish line, giving us front-row seats to the action without ever leaving our condo—this detail made the entire experience unforgettable.
Will didn’t just book us a place to stay; he matched us with a property that perfectly fit our group’s needs. The condo was spacious, spotless, and well-maintained, providing plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy the weekend. His attention to detail gave us peace of mind, allowing us to focus on the event instead of logistics.
Clearwater Beach itself enhanced our experience. The city is clean, vibrant, and filled with parks, bars, and restaurants, offering something for everyone. The only drawback was the pay-to-park situation everywhere, but Will found us such a great location that we barely needed to move the car.

We flew into Key West’s tiny airport in September of 2023 and instantly felt the laid-back island vibe. Highlights included Hemingway’s six-toed cats, Truman’s Little White House, treasure at the Mel Fisher Museum, and a rum tasting that was pure sunshine in a glass. We soaked in Duval Street’s wild energy, spotted tiny Key deer, ate unforgettable Key lime pie, and caught a stunning sunset at Mallory Square. Along the way, a childhood memory from Harrisonburg, VA resurfaced when I saw a familiar old number sign—proof that travel connects not just places, but moments in time.

In October 2023, we finally checked the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta off our bucket list while visiting friends in New Mexico. We woke up before dawn to experience the magic of Dawn Patrol, watching balloons glow like lanterns as the sun rose over the Sandia Mountains, painting the sky in soft pastel colors. It was a chilly morning, and we huddled around propane cannons for warmth before filling up on green chile breakfast burritos and hot chocolate. Strong winds kept most balloons grounded, limiting photo opportunities, but walking among the inflated giants up close still made the experience unforgettable.

As longtime Disney park veterans, we finally tried a June 8–13, 2025, sailing on the Disney Magic—pricey, but the premium was delivered. The classic ship felt intimate and well-kept, service was top-tier, and rotational dining shone at Animator’s Palate and Rapunzel’s Royal Table (with a great night at Palo). The kids disappeared happily into Oceaneer Club and Vibe, while adults actually reconnected. Both Disney islands were phenomenal—the Atlantis water park was a blast. Our stateroom fit a family of four (including a teenager), and we left planning the next one.

The food was incredible—from Columbia to Ice Plant—and paired perfectly with the historic sights and cozy vibe of Casa Monica. It’s become one of our favorite destinations, and every visit feels just as special as the first.
