My Story
Opulent wanderer splitting time between sunny California and enchanting Sardinia, embracing luxury and adventure in every corner of the world.
My Travel Style
You definitely could say I have a wanderlust spirit. I have lived in San Francisco, London, Los Angeles, New York City, Rome, New Orleans, Montana, San Diego and Sardinia. In addition to the various cities I have lived in, my passion for exploration has taken me on many solo travels across the US and Europe as well as adventures with friends and my beloved cat, Monster. Eventually I landed in Italy, where I met my husband and I now split my time between Sardinia and my native San Diego.
Throughout the years of travel and moving, I will never forget my first European adventure. At 21 years old, I embarked on a six-week solo journey that ended with me renting a car and driving from Italy to the South of France. Staying in hostels, meeting new friends and embracing the freedom and thrill of discovering new places on my own was a formative experience. It was on that trip, far from the familiar and exposed to so many “new” worlds and cultures, that I truly began to know myself. Since then, travel has been a way for me to connect — with myself, with the world around me and with people whose paths I would not have crossed otherwise. I was “bitten by the travel bug,” and I haven’t stopped exploring since. Over the years, my travel tastes have refined. I now prefer high-end comforts and luxurious experiences but always prioritize genuine local experiences and look for any and all opportunities to connect to local cultures while uncovering hidden gems. My ideal trips blend serene natural beauty with the vibrant pulse of urban life, offering both sophisticated relaxation and dynamic experiences. I relish traveling like a local and thoroughly investigating each destination. I love researching to understand cultural nuances and never miss an opportunity to connect with locals about what makes their city, village, town or island unique. Balancing opulence with genuine cultural immersion, I enjoy boutique hotels, luxury villas and resorts that combine elegance with local charm. I’m also a big fan of food and wine, always on the lookout for top-quality dining with a local twist. Whether it’s an off-the-beaten-path agriturismo, a mom-and-pop trattoria or a Michelin-rated restaurant in the city center, I am passionate about finding exceptional cuisine. I guess one might say I am always seeking the best of both worlds — never missing an opportunity to connect with myself and the community I am visiting.

Meaghann is so knowledgeable about the entire island. She invited us to a private vineyard experience tasting wine and learning about the grapes in a vineyard that has been owned by the same family for 65 years. She recommended for us to visit Bosa, a small village that felt lost in time where we had the best meal on the entire island. She suggested 2 of the most beautiful hotels in the world to us as well!!!! She put together a very specific itinerary and that would have only been crafted by someone who knows the island very well. I would highly recommend Meaghann to anyone should you be so lucky to visit Sardinia!!

Meaghann was amazing! She was so organized and responsive. She listened to what we were looking for and provided multiple options in the area we wanted. She is very detail oriented and went the extra mile to make sure we were welcomed at our hotel and had everything we needed.

Meaghann was great to work with and followed up throughout our trip. Instead of sifting through emails and printing documents, she provided information via text on the day of our arrival and departure. I would definitely work with her again.

I recently worked with Meaghann Ibba to plan my stay in Hollywood, and I couldn't be more pleased with the service I received. She helped me find the perfect hotel that suited my needs and preferences. Meaghann took the time to understand what I was looking for in terms of location, amenities, and budget, and presented me with several fantastic options. What really stood out was her attention to detail and commitment to ensuring my trip was flawless. Meaghann handled everything with professionalism and efficiency, making the booking process stress-free. The hotel she recommended was absolutely perfect, and it made my stay in Hollywood even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Meaghann Ibba to anyone looking for expert travel advice and outstanding customer service. I will definitely be using Meaghann’s service for my future trips!

Discover San Pantaleo: Sardinia’s Artistic Gem in Costa Smeralda
I’m fortunate to split my time between San Diego and Sardinia. Each season in Sardinia brings its own kind of beauty, but there’s something special about San Pantaleo in the warmer months. This part of the island, with its open landscapes, dry light, and slower pace, reminds me of the San Diego I grew up in—before the crowds, before the noise. With its towering granite peaks, earthy scents of wild myrtle and macchia (the fragrant Mediterranean scrubland), and a spirit that attracts artists, healers, and slow travelers from around the world, this village pulses with creative energy. It’s one of my favorite places to reconnect with Sardinia’s raw elegance—whether sipping Vermentino under the sun, or wandering its Thursday market filled with beautiful, intentional things.
