Travel has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My dad was a geologist, which meant relocating and traveling frequently for work. I spent my formative childhood years living in Zimbabwe, where regional travel throughout Southern Africa was a normal part of life, not a once-in-a-lifetime event.

Many of my dad’s colleagues were also geologists who moved from Canada to remote parts of the world for work, so travel often meant visiting friends in their new homes, exposing me early to cultures, landscapes, and ways of life far beyond typical tourism.

After moving back to Canada for high school, I later spent a year working with my dad in Tanzania. I went on to earn a double major in Business, Commerce, and Economics at the University of Windsor, then worked as an Analyst in Bell’s Market Analysis & Intelligence group.

While the role made sense on paper, it didn’t align with how I wanted to spend my life. I left to pursue work I actually cared about, which led me into specialty coffee and eventually to founding Woolshed Coffee Co.

Today, I bring that same combination of lived travel experience, analytical thinking, and independent decision-making to travel planning, designing trips that are thoughtful, intentional, and grounded in how people actually want to move through the world.
