My Story
Cultural experiences rooted in food and drink, and the occasional luxury thrown in. SF-based, doing life with my wife and dog. A little type-A goes a long way.
My Travel Style
Thoughtful planning meets spontaneity — I have a deep love for Google spreadsheets but also believe in leaving room to explore. I’m drawn to comfortable and beautifully designed hotels, unique food and drink and lived-in cultural experiences.

She was so quick and had clear communication. There were no issues at all with the booking.

We’ve booked many trips with Marissa, and she is always an incredibly thoughtful, organized and creative partner in trip planning and booking. With her help we were able to get a perfect space for our family, a nice private room with its own parking spot — and we were met with a lovely note from Marissa, some sweet treats and beautiful gifts for the baby courtesy of the hotel. Marissa also gave us great suggestions for baby friendly restaurants on the property, as well as recommendations if we wanted to do a date night instead, and she is always willing to do things like check in with the hotel about childcare options. We’re so happy with how our first trip as new parents went, huge thank you to Marissa!

I can't recommend Marissa enough. We've used her for several trips now and she is incredibly helpful and takes the time to understand what we're looking for in a vacation. She provides a fantastic range of options at different price points, making it easy to choose something that fits our budget and preferences. She's very responsive and never makes us feel like we're bothering her with our back-and-forth. Plus, her recommendations based on her own personal travel experiences are invaluable.

Marissa is the person to have in your corner if you want adventures that feel personal, easy and downright memorable! We've worked with Marissa on a handful of trips now, and every trip we’ve done together sticks in the highlight reel, because she nails the location call every single time.
Planning with her is always breeze — I float a rough idea; she drops back a plan that makes me want to pack a suitcase immediately. I love that she really understands our travel style, and nudges us toward experiences we wouldn’t have found scrolling on our own.
If you want tailored guidance, reliable follow-through and trips that feel uniquely curated for you, she is the professional to call.

Marissa was extremely helpful and responsive. She spent countless hours going back and forth with us to plan the perfect vacation. She was really responsive and knowledgeable about every property she shared. She really understood our needs and delivered! Definitely going to use her again!

Trip Feedback: Tokyo & Kyoto Hoshinoya Properties
I just got back from a 2 week vacation in Tokyo and Kyoto and I must say... no wonder everyone is trying to go! It was incredible. My wife and I said it was one of our favorites trips ever (previously our favorites were East Africa safari and eating our way through Italy.) I'll highlight the hotels we stayed at below.

Local's Guide to San Francisco's Best Outdoor Activities & Restaurants
San Francisco is where I call home so I'm a tiny bit biased but the food and drink culture mixed with the massive parks and outside activities make it a place every foodie and outdoor lover should visit. SF is a great place to visit solo, with a group, or with your partner. If you want to get out of the city for the day, you can always hit up wine country, which is just an hour away. Bring layers though because Karl the Fog can sneak in at any moment!
