My Story
Travel addict who loves the thrill of a new experience, the tastes of a different culture, the adventure of meeting new friends, and wandering aimlessly through streets not my own.
Travel Style
I enjoy adventures like white water rafting in the Andes, rock climbing in the south of France, riding an elephant bareback in South Africa, harvesting olives for press in Sicily, and being driven around a Formula 1 track on race day in Montreal. I love to find unique travel experiences that the average person can't find themselves. But I never underestimate the simple pleasures of a comfortable bed, an ocean view and a great glass of wine. As a genealogist, I can help you walk the streets of your ancestors, a life-changing experience I feel all should have. With over 20 years experience in Access Coordination, and as a published author on the subject, speaking in national and international forums, I can help you travel the world how you need to. I love Europe, but my first love and expertise is Italian and Sicilian travel.

Marissa was fantastic and made this trip even better. She always makes great recommendations that are perfectly suited to what we are looking for. She was attentive, prompt, and a pleasure to work with throughout the process. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

She has always come through with the best she could do under the circumstances. This was a last minute booking for us because of our circumstances. She gets kudos from us for even finding what we needed.

Marissa really puts herself out for her clients. She’s always taken our budget into consideration. Love how she balances our bookings so we have a taste of everything within our means. And always has a special surprise along the way. Like a motorcycle/sidecar through Paris!

I would like to thank Marissa for suggesting the Villa Cora as the final part of our dream vacation.

Wild Flavors & Winding Trails: A Food & Nature Lover’s Guide to Sicily’s Nebrodi Region
Tucked into Sicily’s wild, untamed northeast, the Nebrodi Mountains are the island’s secret heart—a place where ancient forests, crystal lakes, and honest food still define daily life. Here, shepherds make cheese the way their great-grandparents did, and farmers tend black pigs that roam freely beneath oak trees. The hills echo with the hum of beehives and the scent of wild herbs that flavor Nebrodi salumi and local wines. I love this region for its balance—a landscape that feels lost to time, yet only 90 minutes from Mount Etna’s volcanic slopes and two hours from Taormina’s coastal glamour. The Nebrodi are for travelers who crave authenticity: misty hikes and vineyard tastings, rustic meals by a roaring fire, and that rare feeling that you’ve stumbled onto Sicily before it was discovered.
