My Story
Charleston mom with a passion for awe-inspiring, memorable, easy-going, scenic places and experiences that everyone can enjoy.
My Travel Style
As a Charleston local in the tourism industry — and a first-time mom — I know how important it is to work hard and enjoy a well-earned getaway. My goal is to bring value to every trip, no matter the destination or occasion. I'm passionate about finding affordable luxury and never pass up a charming boutique hotel. Whether you're planning a budget-friendly adventure or an indulgent escape, I’m here to ensure your travel experience is tailored to your needs — and exceeds your expectations. Personally, I’m drawn to iconic coastal destinations, from sun-soaked beaches to seaside cliffs, Mediterranean charm to Caribbean calm. If it’s by the water, I’m already dreaming of it. I love curating meaningful experiences. I believe the best memories come from life’s simplest pleasures — a stunning sunset, sand between your toes, a perfect bite of food, a lazy sip of wine or just soaking in the joy of doing nothing in a beautiful place.

Lorraine was exceptional from the start of discussing travel options until our stay at The Ryder Hotel. She was very patient and helpful in discussing a multitude of locations and options that fit our budget and our wants! She helped me time and time again narrowing my options down to what was best for my husband and me. We couldn’t have been happier with Lorraine and with her superb customer service. She even left a personalized note for us at the hotel for when we arrived. I will use her time and time again for all big and little travel plans. Excited to have such an excellent travel advisor and will recommend her to everyone I know!

Lorraine was so great to work with! She found this gem of a hotel in Mount Pleasant and made sure to communicate all our concerns/needs with the hotel before we arrived. We had a slight hiccup when we checked in late at night and she was already communicating with the hotel to correct the issue before we woke up the next morning. She also provided us with a long list of things to do and places to eat. She even made sure everything was dog friendly for us. I cannot believe how much working with a travel agent took off my plate and allowed me to just enjoy our stay. We will definitely be working with Lorraine for all of our future travel!

Day Trip to Sullivan’s Island Beach and Mount Pleasant, South Carolina
Sullivan’s Island is where the charm of a small, Southern seaside town meets a relaxed island lifestyle. Steeped in Civil War history and home to the remains of Fort Moultrie, it's also full of beautiful scenery fit for a Nicholas Sparks novel. The uniformed white and subtle hues of the grand Victorian-style Lowcountry beach homes add to its clean, earthy aesthetic and truly flatter the wonderful greenery of the surrounding nature. The highlight of the island, of course, is its vast pristine sandy beach — the sand is almost completely shell-less and, at certain points, the beach features the occasional quaint little tide pool. It's the perfect romantic setting, as if you’ve stepped into "The Notebook," as well as a serene, quiet beach spot for all ages.

A Long Weekend Escape to Folly Beach, South Carolina
Folly Beach was long ago dubbed “The Edge of the America” and after a few moments watching the sunrise, with a hot coffee, and the waves crashing, I certainly came to realize why. For me, it was based on a feeling, a vibe, rather than anything tangible. For such a popular destination year-round, it still feels incredibly underrated. It is a classic American, coastal island that almost seems frozen in a simpler time since there is nothing that is too overstated about it, yet it stands out for so many. As it normally is true with anything, the best things do often come in small packages. I’ve always appreciated the simplicity and nostalgia of the area and how it has been able to maintain its small, rustic, beach town vibe. Sprinkled in are a few hidden gems, some gorgeous murals, with endless places to enjoy an amazing view. I don’t think you can ask for much more when it comes to a relaxing, laid-back beach vacation.
