I raised my kids with the mantra that presence is more important than presents. For many years, I've gifted them with trips and experiences, rather than material things. Now that they've grown, I've shifted my travel to exploring new places with my husband, spending time with my cousins and friends and visiting those same kids (now grown) from coast to coast. I value authentic experiences that allow me to immerse myself in the culture, the nature, the food and the people of the world.
