My Story
A NJ-based travel lover who is happiest when planning the next trip.
My Travel Style
I want to see everywhere and I am happy to do it solo, with my family, or in big or small groups of friends. I love to research a destination, and to find out what others have loved about it. I tend to plan itineraries that have pretty things to see, lots of time to sit and eat and drink and laugh and people watch, with fun activities in the mix. I think it is important to consider all of the members of a group when making a plan, even if it is a group of only two. It’s great to experience new things that you would not have considered on your own!

We gave Kristen a bit of a hard time trying to get the logistics right. We changed our minds two or three times and Kristen was always willing. She made us feel relaxed, knowing we would get what we wanted in the end. My family can tend to have certain demands when we travel. Thank You Kristen, looking forward to bothering you some more!

Our trip was absolutely phenomenal — seamlessly planned and executed by Kristen Kolek. Every single detail was handled flawlessly: the pre-cruise stay and accommodations in Rome, smooth transfers to the ship, perfectly chosen staterooms, restaurant reservations (before, during, and after the cruise), private transportation from the ship to our Monte Carlo hotel, and even our final transfer to the Nice airport. Every leg of the journey was top-notch — zero hiccups, total enjoyment. The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Cruise was a five-star experience from start to finish, and Kristen made it effortless. If you’re considering this trip, do yourself a favor — book it, and book it through Kristen. She’s exceptional!

Kristen did a fantastic job planning our trip, which was not easy with 16 people. She set up all our dinner reservations, transfers, excursions, suites and we had absolutely no issues. She has the patience of a saint!

St Andrews, Scotland: The Home of Golf, and So Much More
St Andrews is known as the home of golf, and it is certainly a popular bucket list destination for any golfer. There are also so many other things to love about this beautiful, friendly, university town. My youngest daughter attended the University of St Andrews, so I was very lucky to make many trips there during her four years as a student. There are vast beaches, cute shops, castle ruins, gardens, parks and many wonderful places to eat and drink. It is such a walkable, beautiful place, and is absolutely worth a visit, whether you golf or not.

Time well spent in Edinburgh, Scotland
Edinburgh is known for its historic charm and stunning architecture. I was fortunate to visit this city a number of times while my daughter was a student at St. Andrews, and I am still looking forward to going back again! It is a very walkable city, with landmarks like Edinburgh Castle, Calton Hill and the Royal Mile. Princes Street offers shopping and beautiful views of the city, and Dean Village offers a quiet, beautiful place to stroll and enjoy. Overall, Edinburgh is a city rich in culture, history, scenic landscapes and wonderful places to eat and drink.
