But after more than 25 trips to Europe, if I could be anywhere right this minute, it would be on a high speed Frecciarossa train in Italy sipping a 'Caffe Normale' while watching the fascinating scenery go by.

France and Italy are regular destinations for my wife and I due to the food, wine, culture, and hospitality, but you can also have a bit of Europe here in the US without needing a passport by heading for Napa and Sonoma Valleys. My philosophies are simple - book the trip, travel well, spend the extra money on upgraded flights and accommodations, and put the phone down so you can take it all in and experience your travel partner(s) and the magical locations you've worked so hard to get to.
