My Story

Hi there! I’m a San Diego-based writer and travel advisor. As an avid traveler, I’m passionate about curating trips that feel intentional and inspiring. I specialize in boutique and luxury experiences tailored to your unique pace—whether that means an itinerary full of adventure, blissful downtime, or a bit of both. My goal is to help you explore the world in a way that feels effortless and unforgettable.

Travel Style

I’ve always been driven by an insatiable curiosity to see the world and inspire others to do the same. Creative and detail-oriented, I design trips that blend adventure and leisure—leaving plenty of room for impromptu plans or having no plans at all. I’m always on the lookout for hidden gems and distinctive stays, whether it’s a boutique hotel, a mountain retreat, or a vibrant city with a story to tell. For me, the best trips strike a balance between thoughtful planning and the freedom to explore and immerse yourself in the local culture.

travel to Osaka

Kelsey was an awesome advisor and came up with perfect itineraries for us! We spent two weeks in Japan, across Tokyo, Kanazawa, Osaka, and Kyoto, and Kelsey helped us plan about 50% of our days, as well as booking our hotels across all cities. In Tokyo, we stayed at the Tokyo Edition Ginza, which was situated perfectly for exploring the city without being in a crazy neighborhood. The staff were so welcoming, and the room was very comfortable. The hotel Kelsey found for us in Kanazawa (the AO) perfectly matched our vibe - sort of retro, very calm, easy to relax in, and located centrally so we could walk everywhere (the castle, the main garden, the samurai district, the geisha district). The Patina Osaka was a splurge but totally worth it for a night - such a fun find. And our Kyoto hotel (Nazuna Kyoto Higashi Honganji) was our favorite stay by far: a traditional two-floor room with an in-room onsen, amazing wood beams and tatami mats, and beautiful natural features. The daily (included) breakfast was delicious - made right in front of us over an open grill.

Kelsey took our vague directions for how we wanted to travel (one big thing per day, lots of walking) and what we wanted to focus on (food, vintage shopping, gardens, history) and came up with perfect itineraries for us. She got us through key tourist sites and then helped us find less touristy neighborhoods to wander around. The extra ideas she provided beyond the itineraries were also extremely helpful on the days we didn't have a full plan.

Most importantly (for us!), Kelsey sourced amazing restaurants for us. She identified excellent omakase, a gorgeous kaiseki experience in Kanazawa, incredible tempura, and the right places to find good street food and izakayas. We also found a few places we shared with Kelsey to add to her growing list of great recommendations.

Kelsey was responsive, creative, and happy to do multiple rounds of ideas with us to get our plans just right. Thank you Kelsey!!!

We had such a great experience having Kelsey plan our family Christmas trip to Maui. Kelsey made the planning easy and stress-free. She is professional, easy to work with and organized. While planning the trip, Kelsey gave us many suggestions of restaurants and things to do on the island. We highly recommend Kelsey to anyone looking to plan a fun, memorable vacation.

Kelsey is amazing. She had great suggestions and really honed in on what we wanted our travel experience to be. The itinerary was a great mix of tourist destinations and local hotspots. We will definitely be booking with Kelsey for my next adventure.

Kelsey was really easy to work with! She took the time to get a thorough understanding of our wants and needs for the trip and was very communicative throughout the process. She provided us with a lot of valuable insight and even checked in with us to make sure the trip was meeting our expectations.
