I like to advertise my travel style as "best value." While I love a good luxury hotel stay (shoutout Four Seasons Bali), I like to make travel affordable and comfortable for any kind of budget. With as much travel as we all want to do, I try to make doing multiple trips, or long extended trips feasible by balancing out the overall costs. I usually plan a few "splurges" whether that be a few fancy dinners, cool excursions, or that crazy luxury hotel I have been saving on Instagram for years. After that I try to find affordable yet comfortable options to help balance out the overall budget. Hint: amazing hole in the wall restaurants and food trucks, smaller boutique style hotels without the luxury price tag, trains versus flights etc.
