I am a former hostel-staying backpacker, turned family travel “flash packer” (a backpacker at heart, but with a little more cash in the pocket!). I keep my love of adventure alive in my trip planning, even with children in tow.

With my 13 year old in tow, I seek out immersive hands-on adventures that help us dive deep into the local culture - whether that is by participating in cooking classes, volunteering or staying in local accommodation.

I have extensive travel experience as a solo traveler as well as a traveling alone with my son. Having lived in India for a decade, I am quite familiar with it as well as the surrounding countries in Asia and the Middle East. Due to my son’s obsessions with nature and the outdoors, we have spent a great deal of time seeking out the world’s most unique and beautiful landscapes and wildlife in places like South Africa, Uganda, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Iceland, Ireland and Antarctica.

I love researching new destinations and am particularly well versed in off the beaten path, up and coming destinations, as well as hands-on learning opportunities.

We have recently discovered the joy of small ship expeditions, which encompass so much of what we adore about travel - off the beaten path, immersive learning. environments, and seeing wildlife in its natural habitat.
