A Mexico City-based citizen of the world who can never say "No" to a trip.
Travel Style
I fell in love with the world and with travel when I was 15, after winning a scholarship to study Spanish anywhere in the world. I chose Costa Rica, and I lived in the country for a summer, attending an immersive language program, living with a local family and traveling on weekends with retirees who were in my class. I'm 47 now, but I'll always be that girl with her face pressed up against the window of the chicken bus, falling in love with the world, unable to sleep because I don't want to miss a thing.
As an American married to a Cuban, a resident of Mexico, and mom to three kids under 15, I know how to help people immerse themselves in a country and culture and experiences that aren't their own in a way that is deeply respectful, meaningful and absolutely unforgettable. As a travel writer with 20+ years of experience, I bring deep knowledge and experience of locations, accommodations, experiences and cultures to my work as a travel advisor, ensuring you will have the most meaningful and memorable experience you could imagine!

Julie provided wonderful options and pricing. She answered all of our questions and ensured we had a seamless visit to NYC and the Archer Hotel. I used to live in NY State and have stayed in the city many times. I didn't think I needed help, but I did, and Julie was the best travel agent.

Julie was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable, working with me on really short notice to find a hotel with available rooms that met my specifications in terms of locations and bed arrangement. She really enhanced my booking experience by offering suggestions of sites to see and activities to do while I was in Guadalajara, and I really enjoyed each of the activities I did based on her recommendations.

I made a very last-minute decision to take a trip to the town of Santa Clara del Cobre to see the famed copper goods there. Julie knows the area well and helped me plan the trip from start to finish, recommending staying in Pátzcuaro as my base. This was a great recommendation, as I really got to know and enjoy both towns. Julie has more than 20 years of experience as a travel writer specializing in Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Cuba, and I will definitely use her services again.
