Hey, y’all, I’m Josh, living my life to the fullest in San Francisco, CA. For me, that means two things: amazing destinations and incredible food.

My Travel Style

My travels have taken me across some of the world’s most extraordinary culinary landscapes, from the sun-drenched Mediterranean shores to the vibrant streets of Istanbul, each destination offering its own delicious story. Italy remains close to my heart—there’s something magical about discovering a tiny trattoria tucked away in a Roman side street or stumbling upon a family-run osteria in Tuscany where nonna still makes pasta by hand. These hidden gems serve food that tells the real story of Italian cuisine, far from the tourist trails. Greece captivated me with its perfect simplicity—fresh seafood grilled over charcoal in a harborside taverna in Santorini, or sharing mezze with locals at an Athens neighborhood joint where the owner insists you try their grandmother’s recipe for moussaka. Istanbul was a revelation, where Europe meets Asia on every plate. I spent hours wandering through local markets, eating my way through street vendors, and finding those incredible family-run restaurants where the recipes have been passed down for generations. The layers of flavor in Turkish cuisine mirror the city’s rich history. My British Isles adventures led me through London’s diverse food scene, from curry houses in Brick Lane to gastropubs serving elevated comfort food. Scotland surprised me with its sophisticated dining scene beyond haggis, while Ireland’s warmth extended from its people to its hearty, soul-warming dishes. Amsterdam’s canal-side cafés and Spain’s tapas bars taught me that the best meals often happen in the most unassuming places—those local dives where you might not speak the language, but the universal language of good food bridges every gap. Egypt brought an entirely different dimension to my food journey, where ancient spices and cooking methods create flavors that transport you through time. While I treasure these authentic, local experiences, I also appreciate the artistry of fine dining—those special-occasion restaurants where chefs transform ingredients into edible masterpieces. These establishments showcase food as art, each dish carefully crafted and beautifully presented. Whether I’m sharing a simple meal with locals in a hidden taverna or experiencing a multi-course tasting menu, every destination has taught me that food is the most delicious way to understand a culture. Each bite is a story, each meal a memory, and each journey an opportunity to discover something new about the world—and myself.
