My Story
I have been traveling all of my life and have enjoyed a variety of different types of vacations—from tropical beaches, cruises, historic monuments, to the heights of the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, in Dubai. I was sure to show my children that there is more to the world than the Wisconsin Dells. When my son was in first grade, his teacher called home because they had set a goal of meeting at least one person from every country in the world—ideally in their own country. By that time, they had already been to 29 states and six countries.
Travel Style
When traveling I like to have a general idea of where I will be on specific days, however, I also like a sense of spontaneity. For example, when traveling to the Big Island of Hawaii as a side trip from Oahu, we knew where we were staying and that we wanted to drive around the island. We did not have plans to drive to the peak of Mauna Kea, the world's tallest mountain (when measured from the ocean floor), but found ourselves there to watch to most beautiful sunset that I have ever seen. It was an amazing end to two days of driving through 10 different climate zones and experiencing some fabulous beaches.
That said, when booking for clients, I like to hear about their own travel style to create a truly curated experience with as detailed of an itinerary as they'd like as I know some people prefer everything to be pre-arranged.
