Travel Style
I love walkable boutique hotels, excellent service, a room with a view, great espresso, a fine bottle of wine, and delicious local food. I enjoy wandering side streets without a map, exploring markets full of regional flavors, meeting locals, and learning a phrase or two in their language. For me, travel is about uncovering the story behind a place—not just capturing the postcard view. I’ve always traveled with a sense of adventure and curiosity, and now I get to share that with my wife and son. My trips usually follow a light framework: enough structure to catch the highlights, but plenty of room to wander and discover. I steer clear of uncomfortable beds, disappointing hotel breakfasts, touristy restaurants with laminated menus, overly packed itineraries, and trips with no plan at all.
