Having lived overseas on the other side of the planet, I have gained a respect for immersion in other cultures, and surrendering to the fact that there are many ways of life that are rooted in tradition, heritage, and values. Following this, my travel style embraces both culture and the intersections of history and the connection with the natural world. This can be pursued in hikes, food and cooking, sacred sites, cultural immersion, and various other means of exploration. I have navigated my way around 26 countries, both solo and with my two children, from when they were young to teenagers. I know both the lonely planet rugged style to luxury 5-star travel. I always get to know the local side of things, and the hidden oasis of beauty that mainstream travel won’t show you.
