My Story
I have always been drawn to the process of shaping an experience. Long before this became my work, I was the one planning the trips. Not just where to go, but how it would feel. Choosing the right place, the right pace, and the details that allow everything to come together seamlessly. That instinct naturally expanded into event planning, where I developed a deeper understanding of how to design experiences that are not only beautiful, but also structured, intentional, and well executed.
What I have always been most interested in is how something unfolds. How a moment is set, how it builds, and how it is remembered. My background in politics and journalism shaped that perspective further. Both fields are rooted in understanding people. Listening closely, asking better questions, and looking beyond the surface. Travel reflects that same mindset.
You understand a place by being in it. Walking through it, noticing the rhythm of daily life, experiencing the culture in a way that cannot be replicated from a distance. That is why I care deeply about the journeys I design.
A well planned honeymoon, elopement, or destination wedding is not just about where you go. It is about how it feels, how it flows, and how intentionally it reflects you. Arterra exists to design travel in that way. Thoughtful, immersive, and carefully considered from beginning to end.
Travel Style
My approach to travel is intentional, refined, and guided by how an experience unfolds. The individual elements matter. The hotel, the setting, the food. But what matters just as much is how everything connects.
A well designed honeymoon, elopement, or destination wedding should feel cohesive. It should move naturally, leaving space to enjoy where you are without feeling rushed or over-structured.
When I design a journey, I focus on places to stay that shape the experience. Hotels and villas influence how your time feels, not just where you sleep. I favor destinations with a strong sense of place where culture, landscape, and atmosphere are immersive and distinct. The goal is for these experiences to feel personal and be filled with moments that are meaningful, not performative or expected. When you book with me I engage thoughtful experience design across multiple days, from arrival to key moments within the experience. Everything is considered.
Many of the journeys I design center around honeymoons, elopements, and destination weddings across regions such as Italy, Portugal, the Caribbean and select areas within Canada. Whether it is an intimate ceremony, a multi-day wedding experience, or a honeymoon that marks the beginning of something new, each is designed to feel calm, elevated, and deeply personal.
