Continuous adventure traveler dialing it down a notch. From ziplining through the Smoky Mountains and cliff-jumping into Lake Superior, I find myself gravitating to my roots for the love of history and culture. My new passion is building explorations around some popular travel destinations as well as hidden gems that may be overlooked. After sending both of our kids to college in the fall of September 2023, my husband and I took ourselves on a much-needed parenting detox get-a-away for two weeks to Croatia. And this is where our love story began with this alluring country that keeps us wanting more. This fall I celebrated my 50th birthday and was asked where I wanted to go. Silly question! Our bags packed and off we went, again! The best 14 days we could plan for. This fall, our trip was to the northern region of the country as well as Slovenia and Trieste, Italy. Food, wine and so much more. To experience the change in fall leaves was amazing. Don’t rush this journey. Give yourself time to be swept away and want to come back time and time again for all its rich history and beautiful coastlines.
