I'm an adventurous traveler. I crossed the Khunjerab Pass from Western China into Northern Pakistan as a 16 year old on a 6-week long trip that started in Beijing. While I haven't gotten back to that level of adventure with 3 young kids, I still aim to get off-the-beaten-path. I often plan half of a trip in advance, research a ton of potential options, and choose which direction to head once we're already traveling.
