The Strand may very well be the best kept secret in Turks & Caicos, but fortunately for my husband, Andrei, and me, it was not a secret from Hallie! Never in a million years would we have discovered The Strand; a new resort relatively sheltered from blurbs on social media, on our own. As recently retired professionals (I am an attorney and Andrei is a liver transplantation surgeon) who are high-energy world travelers, we wanted a warm weather beach destination outside of the US, without crowds nor unreasonably long round trip flights. We were completely opened to suggestions. In fact, wonderful suggestions were what we were hoping for. Hallie thoughtfully and enthusiastically provided them, but even more impressively, she also provided us with questions. Her advice was immeasurable. As we were discussing what would be our dream vacation, Hallie listened attentively and diligently took notes. With Hallie’s educated research, comparative insights and direct inquiries to the staff at The Strand, she took care of every detail for us and booked our trip. Perhaps I should add that she “rebooked our trip” due to the snow and ice storm in ATL during our original dates. Her respectful demeanor on the phone to The Strand motivated the staff to change our dates without a single penalty. She was also able to procure and guarantee our original, ocean-view, stunning room. As you know, the travel industry is highly competitive, and is largely dependent upon word of mouth.
