Honestly the real MVP was my travel advisor, Getrisc Coulson with Travels With Gigi. She had this whole stop lined up perfectly so all I had to do was show up and check in. Every little detail sorted ahead of time. If you're passing through Stirling and want a hotel that puts you right in the middle of it all without the hassle, this is the one. And if you can get someone like Getrisc planning your trip, do it.

I told her what I was after and she actually listened, didn't just hand me the first option that popped up. She was quick to respond whenever I had a question too, never left hanging waiting on an answer. That kind of communication makes a trip a lot less stressful.
If you're headed to Edinburgh, or honestly anywhere, I'd recommend working with Getrisc. She listens, she's responsive, and she picks places that actually match what you want out of a trip.
