Thank goodness Fiona suggested we hire a driver to and from the Nagano train station--it cost a little more but the time and hassle it saved was definitely worth it. She also suggested we visit the Jigokudani Monkey Park in Yamanouchi, Nagano Prefecture. I was on the fence about it, but she had been herself and said it was a highlight. I'm so glad we went! She arranged the whole day for us that included a private tour of the snow monkey park, followed by a delicious lunch and visits to the town of Obuse and then to temples and shrines in Nagano. It was a highlight of the Japan adventure and provided a completely different experience from our Tokyo visit. Also: the bullet train is the best. Treat yourself at least one way in first class--you'll wish the trip was 5 hours. Fiona is a seasoned traveler herself and has the experience to back up her suggestions. She is never pushy but is able to give a variety of options as well as her honest opinion. This is what sets her apart.

I enjoyed working Fiona and I am so glad that I chose to do so. She kept me on target with decisions that needed to be made a pieced together and really lovely trip for me and my family. Having someone else do the research and the bookings were so valuable.
