My Story
I grew up in South Africa and lived there for most of my life, relocating to Raleigh, North Carolina when I was running a tech startup. I love to travel and enjoy seeking out the best of the best, world-class experiences and destinations. Given my background, I’ve done safari trips so many times I’ve lost count. Recently I’ve enjoyed exploring the best that the continental U.S. has to offer, but also enjoy Hawaiʻi, the Caribbean, and quite a few spots in Europe where my wife is from.
Travel Style
I focus on luxe travel, so I only recommend the best hotels that I’d personally stay in (or have previously done so). Details like ground transportation, flight specifics (incl lie-flat and first-class international seats, plane hardware) are a priority for me since I’m a bit of an aviation geek.
Restaurants and bars that are “the spots” are places I love to hunt out and secure potentially difficult-to-get reservations.
Since I have a young family, I’m also cognizant of properties that cater to families via kids clubs and reliable, reputable childcare for evenings when the adults need a fun night out!
