My Story
30-year Austin resident who can show you the "classic" Austin haunts as well as the shiny new city that's developing. Higher ed fundraiser with a serious travel bug who loves a spreadsheet.
My Travel Style
I cut my teeth on the Rick Steves model of "Back Door" travel and learned the value of seeking out local culture in my travels (food, music, arts, etc.) Soaking up local customs and learning about a city or country is what broadens our world. Of course, I also love a great spa vacation with the girls! I've also done a fair amount of solo travel, even in Europe, and can advise in this area.
As far as planning, pacing is everything. The last thing I want is for you to come home and need another vacation because I've worn you out from over-scheduling your trip. This is an individual preference, and we would discuss in advance to ensure a cadence that is comfortable for you and your group.

The Best of Santa Fe, New Mexico
If New Mexico is the Land of Enchantment, Santa Fe is surely its patron saint and muse. Imbued with golden light reflected from the city’s mandated adobe dwellings, this laid-back artsy community draws visitors from around the world. Skiers flock in the winter to “ski Santa Fe”, while the arid desert climate brings throngs of refugees escaping the heat in the summer. The breathtaking Sangre de Cristo mountains provide a picturesque backdrop for gourmet patio dining as well as outdoor adventuring; and music lovers can find casual performances around town or dress up for the open-air Santa Fe Opera. Regardless of your preference, Santa Fe truly has something for everyone.
