About

A British design and travel writer who's lived on four continents and currently calls the West Village home. Happiest when chasing sunsets or sipping a gin & tonic (preferably both).

Home airports

Typically JFK, but anywhere that Delta flies from (and preferably has a lounge).

My travel style

I frequently review hotels, restaurants and experiences for global design publications, so aesthetics and atmosphere are key for me. My eye for beautiful spaces paired with a desire for discovery often result in trips that are a perfect balance of chic and exciting, both in far-flung locations or close to home. Whether a city break or a wilderness escape, I take a 'look great, feel great' approach to travel.

Favorite hotels

Recently returned from:

  • Driving down California's Pacific Coast Highway.

  • Spending a fall weekend in upstate New York.

  • Touring New Mexico.

  • Eating and drinking around New Orleans in 48 hours.

Dreaming of:

  • Bali, to fully unwind.

  • Tokyo and Kyoto.

  • The beach towns of Oaxaca.

  • Jackson Hole for skiing and a hot tub.

What’s one thing you can’t travel without?

A notebook and pen.

Two truths, one lie:

  1. I spent a summer working in Uganda.

  2. I spent six months teaching English at a school in Peru.

  3. I spent a year working as an interior designer in China.
