My Story
A sherpa by nature. Work-from-home husband and hockey dad. Based in Chicago, my wife and I like to get two long weekends alone every year and also a long family vacation in the summer.
My Travel Style
I've traveled just about every way imaginable. I was an avid camper and adventurer in my teens and early 20s and have driven in every state except for Alaska (it's on the list). In my late 20s and early 30s I traveled to Asia for business (which is how I got the original SARS in 2002, ask me to tell you that story) which ignited a new passion to see the world. Since then, my wife and I have mastered the perfect long weekend in Europe and have seen so many cities that way. Some cities we've done detailed itineraries and others we've just winged it, but mostly we do a little of both. I love creating a menu of options for each trip and then letting our mood dictate which experience we opt for. I'd be happy to help you do the same.

Dan is an absolute travel wizard! My friends and I were planning my birthday trip to St. Lucia, and we were overwhelmed by all the options and details. He not only managed to find us incredible flights and accommodations that fit our budget and preferences but also handled all the logistics seamlessly. He booked us a beautiful beachfront villa with private plunge pools, arranged for a delicious birthday cake and champagne surprise, and even planned a personalized itinerary filled with fun activities and experiences. He was incredibly knowledgeable about St. Lucia, recommending hidden gems and insider tips that made our trip truly special. Thanks to Dan, my birthday celebration was unforgettable. He is incredibly organized, responsive, and passionate about travel. We'll definitely be using his services again for our next vacation!

Adventurous Long Weekend Exploring Singapore
This was one of the wildest weekends that my wife and I have pulled off. After many years of proving we love taking long weekends in Europe, without major jetlag or setbacks, we decided to up the ante and see if we were strong enough for 43 hours of flying in five days. Spoiler: we were and you are too! Singapore is a fantastic city with amazing food and culture and is a great place to spend a three-day weekend. We loved the vibrant markets, the warm climate and the lush gardens.
